Really, Mahmoud? Really??

From Robert Mackey at NYT comes an update on the uprisings in Libya, including the following priceless clip from Iran’s state-financed satellite channel:

“Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has criticized Libyan rule Muammar Qaddafi, for threatening his own people. Ahmadinejad referred to universal human rights, saying leaders should hear the voice of their people. He went on to say resistance against the demands of a nation is futile.”

  1. i’ve written a “really, ghaddafi, really” entry after monday’s interview with amanpour. but! there was this really popular joke going around kurdistan iraq for a few days:
Obama calls Muburak and tells him he should say goodbye to his people. Muburak responds, “But why, where are they going?”
It seems that many of these guys hold delusions of grandeur.
